Model Wash is a range of washes made with a unique water-based formula. The product offers the model painter new techniques to depict, among other things, the processes of aging.
Colors with a matte finish and high capillarity, formulated to highlight the minute details of the model's panels and the contrasts created by wear and the accumulated dirt caused by operational and weather influences. Model Wash's versatility makes the product equally useful for quick shading as it is for creating clumped dust and dirt around the model's details, such as rivets and panel lines.
The washes are also used as a filter applied uniformly to the model to change the base color. Model Wash can be applied with a brush and airbrush and dries very quickly, meaning the painting or weathering process can be continued after about 20 minutes. Painting tools are cleaned with water.
