Water slide decals

Print your own waterslide decals with this set of 5 sheets of printable decal paper . Decals are applied with water, no solvent is required. You can also do some GSW decal softener and Decal fixative Use to enhance and protect the finish on uneven or rough surfaces.

Use a computer to create your graphics as copiers and printers cannot print white. They rely on the paper itself to provide the white component for lettering and graphics. To create a decal with white lettering and/or graphics, start with white film transfer paper.

Choose the right type of paper according to your printer type, inkjet paper or laser paper. Remove any tissue-like protective film on the printable paper and print the artwork directly onto the glossy side of the decal. For inkjet printing, we recommend the Transparency Plastic Film (or foils) setting if your printer software supports this option. In any case, you need to immediately LINK a few thin but thorough coats of setting spray Apply to seal the printed image onto the sticker paper to prevent the ink from smearing, washing off, tearing or chipping when applied.

Sheets: 5 per pack
Size: 210 x 270mm (A4)

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Cut the sticker as close to the outside edge of the image as possible. For better results, use a brand new blade.
2.- Pick up the sticker with your tweezers and let it soak in water for about 20 seconds. Warm water can help with this process.
3. Use a brush to gently press the decal from the panel onto the model.

EXTENDED INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
4.- Before applying to the model, after the decal has soaked long enough, apply some GSW Decal Fixer to the surface of the model where you want to set your decal. GSW Decal Fixer protects the underlying paint and smoothes the surface, preventing silvering. Gently press the sticker from the plate onto the model using a brush. If it is difficult to move the decal, adding a little more GSW Decal Fixer or water will help the decal float on the surface until positioned correctly.
5.- If the surface you want to apply the flat decal to is curved, like a shoulder pad, the decal may become wrinkled. To avoid this, apply GSW Decal Softener as soon as your decal is applied. Allow the softener to react and it will help remove wrinkles as it conforms to the curved surface underneath. Repeat this step 2-3 times until the wrinkles are removed. Remove the excess with a cotton swab to remove the liquid between the sticker and the surface. Roll the swab over the decal so it doesn't lift off the surface. You can also use a paper towel to press down on the decal in a rolling motion to remove excess liquid. Using GSW Decal Softener eliminates the need for the relief cuts to remove wrinkles in your decal.
6.- Finally we apply GSW Decal Fixer again to the decal and the surface of the model where we worked to unify the surface. As usual, coat it with matte or glossy varnish if you find it necessary to remove or add a glossy finish.
