Welcome to Edo!
Spend a year in Edo and become the most respected Edokko, a "Child of Edo", by caring for the well-being and prosperity of Edo and its people. You will recruit merchants and artisans of all kinds and assign them jobs on the main street of Nihonbashi. Whoever has acquired the most Iki will win - a concept that is only loosely translated as "reputation" and rather stands for the attitude to life of following the "path of the citizen" in an ideal way.

In the game Iki you will meet numerous traders and craftsmen along the busy main street. Hire them or trade with them, see them gain experience, retire and hopefully survive a fire or two.

The game takes place over 13 months, with the 13th representing the New Year. Each month you receive income, decide how far you want to move your Oyakata, stroll along the main street and interact with the local merchants and shops.
Three times in the game, a fire breaks out in one of the Nagaya, that is, the 4 districts, for which you are hopefully well prepared.

You need to recruit artists and vendors and nurture and train their skills. They have to trade, make purchases, establish status symbols for Edo and also contribute to the development of the city.
