These flying, hand-sized insects feature a shimmering carapace, usually green or blue, as well as a pair of powerful mandibles capable of tearing into flesh, wood, and even soft stone. Gnawbeetles are only dangerous near the time of their birth when they emerge as a swarm from the carcass of a construct.
